Vigils are not noisy events. People stand together but quietly - they are observant. Their egos are sublimated.
My intention with 'Vigil' is to depict a number of individuals and bring them together as one. I think of this body of paintings as a single, on-going, piece of work.

'Vigil' is made up of an increasing number (14 to date) of small oil paintings - each 210 x 150 mm. The dimension of the exhibited group of paintings is variable.
