Index Card / photograph (5" x 8"/ 127 x 203mm) illustrating Newsboard May 1975 -  made within, and as part of, an art exhibition in the Guildhall, Thetford, Norfolk. 'Newsboard'  is in the form of a calender with 31 segments representing the 31 days of May 1975.  Each 'picture of the day' was a photograph taken from the news media of the day - depicting a starving person.  On each day of the month a small drawing was made on graph paper - composed of 10,000 dots . . . with each dot representing one of the, approximately, 10,000 people who had starved to death that day.  At the end of the day the drawing was pinned to the relevant segment of the calender.
