In 2019 when this painting was exhibited at The Beacon Museum, Whitehaven there were nine figures depicted in the street. In 2021 I painted out two of them - a man carrying a baby, but added a new eighth figure - a woman photographer.   In June 2023 I set-to on the painting again and took out that woman but also six of the remaining 7 figures - leaving only the elderly lady . . and a much quieter street!
